Amy Alexander

Special Markets Accounts Manager

Amy Alexander is a Special Markets Accounts Manager at NBN, covering catalogers, specialty wholesalers, non-traditional retailers, and much more. Amy has over fifteen years of bookselling experience ranging from managing the International Center of Photography’s bookstore to special sales at Watson-Guptill Publications and Globe Pequot Press.

Ed Lyons

National Accounts Manager

Ed Lyons manages sales and marketing efforts to national trade and library wholesalers Baker & Taylor, Bookazine, and Brodart. He also represents NBN to mass merchants and their suppliers including COSTCO, BJ's Wholesale Club, Target, Kroger, Safeway, Wegmans, Hudson Booksellers, American West , Readerlink, and the Hudson Group. Ed has over twenty-five years of book publishing experience including work for Penguin, the commission sales group Proe & Proe Associates, and an independent book store.

Max Phelps

Director of Outdoor Sales

Max Phelps manages NBN’s relationship with American Wholesale Book Company/Books-a-Million, and is Director of Outdoor sales where he works directly with many key outdoor customers including several National Parks, Orvis, LL Bean, Bass Pro, REI, and the Boy Scouts of America. Prior to NBN, Max was a bookseller in Philadelphia, worked in book distribution in the eastern United States, and managed sales and marketing for Falcon Publishing.

Omuni Barnes

National Accounts Manager

Omuni Barnes is National Accounts Manager covering US. She has over ten years of experience in the publishing industry. For many years she’s handled operations for all of the national accounts, such as Barnes & Noble, Borders, Ingram, and Baker & Taylor. Besides her extensive background with national accounts, she has a very diverse publishing background and has also worked in publicity.

Sheila Burnett

National Accounts Manager

Sheila Burnett is National Account Manager for Ingram. She has over thirty years of experience in the publishing industry including senior sales and marketing positions with Rowman & Littlefield. She's managed several national accounts including Baker & Taylor, Barnes & Noble, Borders, and YBP Library Services.

Spencer Gale

National Accounts Manager

Spencer Gale is a results-driven sales professional with more than forty years of experience—twenty at NBN—and he's currently the National Accounts Manager for Barnes & Noble. His CV features buying, merchandising, and marketing stints at Doubleday Books Shops, Barnes & Noble, and Waldenbooks.

Claire D’Ecsery

Claire D’Ecsery began her publishing career in 1986 as a college textbook sales rep. Over the next twenty years, she held various field-based positions in higher education publishing, including sales manager, field editor, and sales trainer. She also spent several years with a small, independent publishing house in Utah working in sales and market development.

David Quinn

David Quinn’s career in the book business began as a sales clerk at a Little Professor Book Center 40 years ago. Since then, he’s worked as a sales representative for publishers and wholesalers and has been a book buyer for Gordon’s Books and Ingram Book Company. As a long-time transplant of Denver, Colorado, he’s built long-term, successful relationships with retailers in Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, and Wyoming, a territory dear to his heart. If he’s not happily traveling through the west presenting and promoting the wide variety of NBN books to customers, you may find him walking the trails of the Rocky Mountains and red-rock country of the Colorado Plateau.

Mark Carbray

New England

Mark Carbray is a long- time resident of Connecticut with selling experience to residential and commercial customers for over twenty-five years. Since 2003 with Globe Pequot and now NBN, Mark serves the New England region independent bookstores, outdoor recreation, and gift accounts with our vast selection of books and products.

Stephen Driver

Vice President, Production Services

Stephen Driver is Vice President of Production Services and oversees all aspects of design, production, and manufacturing of print and electronic products for Rowman & Littlefield and NBN Fusion. He has been with the company since 1998.

International Sales

Les Petriw

Managing Director, Canadian Division / International Sales Director

The Managing Director of NBN's Canadian Division and NBN's International Sales Director, Les Petriw has extensive knowledge of the Canadian book market and gives NBN publishers a competitive edge in this increasingly important marketplace. His more than thirty years in the publishing industry include senior sales positions for Copp Clark and McGraw-Hill/Canada.
