History

National Book Network is one of the largest independently-owned book distributors in North America with approximately ninety client publishers. We are an experienced and trusted book distributor committed to providing a broad range of distribution services for independent publishers of all sizes. We are a top-twenty supplier to every major customer in the United States and Canada, including Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Baker & Taylor, and Ingram. Founded in 1986, NBN is part of Rowman & Littlefield, one of the industry’s major independent publishers incorporating a number of well-known trade, academic, and professional imprints. Both companies are headquartered in Lanham, Maryland, a suburb of Washington, DC.
