Amy has over fifteen years of bookselling experience ranging from managing the International Center of Photography’s bookstore to special sales at Watson-Guptill Publications and Globe Pequot Press.

National Accounts Manager

Ed Lyons manages sales and marketing efforts to national trade and library wholesalers Baker & Taylor, Bookazine, and Brodart. He also represents NBN to mass merchants and their suppliers including COSTCO, BJ's Wholesale Club, Target, Kroger, Safeway, Wegmans, Hudson Booksellers, American West , Readerlink, and the Hudson Group. Ed has over twenty-five years of book publishing experience including work for Penguin, the commission sales group Proe & Proe Associates, and an independent book store.

Max Phelps

Max Phelps manages NBN’s relationship with American Wholesale Book Company/Books-a-Million, and is Director of Outdoor sales where he works directly with many key outdoor customers including several National Parks, Orvis, LL Bean, Bass Pro, REI, and the Boy Scouts of America. Prior to NBN, Max was a bookseller in Philadelphia, worked in book distribution in the eastern United States, and managed sales and marketing for Falcon Publishing.

For many years she’s handled operations for all of the national accounts, such as Barnes & Noble, Borders, Ingram, and Baker & Taylor. Besides her extensive background with national accounts, she has a very diverse publishing background and has also worked in publicity.

She also spent several years with a small, independent publishing house in Utah working in sales and market development.

David Quinn’s career in the book business began as a sales clerk at a Little Professor Book Center 40 years ago. Since then, he’s worked as a sales representative for publishers and wholesalers and has been a book buyer for Gordon’s Books and Ingram Book Company. As a long-time transplant of Denver, Colorado, he’s built long-term, successful relationships with retailers in Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, and Wyoming, a territory dear to his heart. If he’s not happily traveling through the west presenting and promoting the wide variety of NBN books to customers, you may find him walking the trails of the Rocky Mountains and red-rock country of the Colorado Plateau.
